Mark Kerns is a seasoned senior executive with a distinguished career working with leading global and regional banks including Standard Bank where he was Head of Investor Services. He has held senior roles at The Bank of New York, JP Morgan, Bankers Trust and The WM Company. His experience embraces business ownership roles, client and sales management, product management leadership, strategy and corporate development within the post trade and the Securities Services industry. Mark is a Global Custodian Legend inductee and has received a Lifetime Achievement award from Global Investor.

The business was formed to enable clients to access the experience and expertise of industry professionals through a flexible model that helps solve practical business problems with a pragmatic and executable approach.
We support specific assignments working closely with executives on an observation and recommendations basis. Adapa Advisory provides access to seasoned and successful professional who have subject matter expertise across a range of areas coupled with in depth post trade and the Securities Services industry experience to ensure deliverables are focused, timely and action orientated.
Adapa Advisory client assignments can include strategic plan assessment and development, program oversight of strategic and tactical plans, evaluation of client engagement models, market positioning appraisal, product management strategy and prioritisation, operating and technology model reviews, experience-based executive coaching and leadership team development.
We operate in a fully flexible way designed to suit each clients’ requirements. We aim to develop long term relationships with clients and remain engaged to ensure the success of outcomes over time either on an advisory or non-executive basis as required.
In terms of segments we focus on banks, asset managers, pension funds and market infrastructure as well as working with emerging and developed technology companies that are engaged or planning to engage in the post trade and the Securities Services sector.
In addition, we have strength and experience in working with organisations doing business into and out of Africa.

Fiona Green
Fiona Green has been engaged in the financial service sector for 20 years and has extensive experience of financial markets, regulation and operations working with Standard Bank where she fulfilled a variety of roles most notably as Head of Investor Services for Africa, where she led the Investor Services franchise for The Standard Bank Group in 13 markets in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her experience also embraces client relationship management and engagement; client services; and marketing. Prior roles were held at NBC Consultants and Actuaries and Alexander Forbes Consultants and Actuaries. Fiona is a Global Custodian Legend inductee.
Richard Barnsdale
Richard Barnsdale has over 20 years’ experience in the asset services industry working in a range of business transformation and strategy roles with responsibility for market analysis, strategic planning and business governance. He has experience in joint ventures, acquisitions, integration programs and product management in the investment services businesses at BNY Mellon, Citibank and Royal Bank of Scotland.
