Viraj’s rich work experience of 29 years included at 3 of the top 5 Global Custodians for over 12 years as Country Head of the Securities Services with Citi Bank (India and Switzerland), JP Morgan Chase and BNP Paribas (also on the ASPAC Management Board of BNP Paribas Securities Services). He has in-depth and diverse exposure to emerging and advanced capital markets. Viraj is the only Indian to be recognized for leadership in India, by Global Custodian in 2013, through APAC industry nomination. In May 2019, Viraj Kulkarni was recognized by Global Custodian, as amongst the Global 30 Securities Services Experts.
Viraj is a Director of PIVOT Consultants (Cyprus) Ltd. as well as an independent Director in Indian Corporates. Viraj has been on Industry committees in India and Switzerland and recognized as an expert on the NSE Academy’s Knowledge Hub. He is recognized for thought leadership and writes on Ease of doing business and regularly featured on the electronic media. He is a Fellow member of ICSI.
